Sun Life title sponsors Maggie’s Carol Concert
Raising funds to support mental well-being of cancer patients and their families
Hong Kong, Dec 12, 2024 – Sun Life Hong Kong Limited ("Sun Life") announced today that it served as the title sponsor for Maggie’s Carol Concert, contributing HK$490,000 and helping to raise a total of HK$1.9 million for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre (“Maggie’s Centre”) through combined donations.
Organised by Maggie’s Centre, the Maggie’s Carol Concert brought together Sun Life, several philanthropists, and the community to celebrate a festive and uplifting event with cancer patients and their families. The funds raised through this initiative will play a vital role in supporting the Centre’s mission to provide free and professional cancer care services, focusing on mental health, physical well-being and social support of cancer patients and their families.
The funding will enable Maggie’s Centre to offer 20,000 sessions of mind-body-spirit complimentary workshops to individuals affected by cancer. These workshops allow participants to engage in activities that promote relaxation, emotional expression and overall well-being, empowering them to live with, live through and live beyond cancer.
